Food Stylin'

This post is about what I do best - showing off! Having told all and sundry that my dream job is a food stylist, I could hardly refuse when my favourite foodie business Hubbub wanted to see if I could walk the walk. On a Saturday a month or so ago, we spent a very long day cooking, styling and photographing. Nicola of The Shed Likes Food, who also works for Hubbub, put together and executed a beautiful menu of summer dishes. Once she had cooked each dish (all with gorgeously fresh ingredients - no dry ice and hairspray here) it fell to me to plate up and "style" each shot. Then Y (with me waving sheets of white cardboard as necessary) would clickety clack with her camera. We're rather proud of the results!

If you want the recipes for any of these dishes (and why wouldn't you?!), check out Hubbub's recipe section here.

The Boyfriend and I did something similar a couple of months back... been a bit lazy with the blog lately but will do a blog to do a bit of a show off soon haha. I don't think our ones are as good though... maybe you could help us style it next time :)

The food and food styling looks as though it came from a classy cookery book. What a wonderful experience for you.

Just discovered your blog via Twitter - these photos look fab. I'd love to spend my days styling food...although would probably be tempted to eat it all! Great job.
